The Maverick Way
A guy from a town in the Midwest seeking to find his way. Once a successful wrestler, winning 3x high school state championships and earning the right to wrestle for Michigan State University. I was a 3x NCAA Qualifier, team captain, and eventual Stanford University Assistant wrestling coach. When wrestling ended I lost an identity and had no idea where to turn!
I moved into a van and called it home for 2 years. Creating a location-independent position working for a cannabis start-up in California, then I embarked on an adventure biking half way across the United States of America! And now I’m a marketing manager who lives in a home in Northern California.
Life is crazy. The mind is confusing. This is the story of a retired-athlete struggling with the transition out of a life of sports and into the rest of his life!
